I want to thank You, Scott Larison (Sales Consultant), and the installation team--Dickson and Mike, for a job very well done culminating with the Silicon Energy Corp solar system going on line late June 14, 2011. The whole process was truly professional and very satisfying to both JoAnn and me.

We now have 3 full days of operation (June 15,16 and 17) and I am very happy with the performance. The three days were quite similar in weather---under 50% full sunshine every day alternating with variable high clouds, morning clouds and multiple cloud layers. During the high thin cloud periods, there were significant periods of variable hazy sun from very bright to barely visible. Through all of this solar variability we produced 84.4 Kilowatt hours. We "sold back" just under 60% of these Kilowatt Hours to Peninsula Light of Gig Harbor during the 3 days.

The good news about this production is the level of payback generated. With the 54 cent Washington State incentive applicable on Washington State produced solar systems(Silicon Energy Products) and the 7.1 cent per KWH credit combined, we will receive a pay back for these three days of $51.57. Annualized, that works out to $6274. We all know that will not be our number in one year but with that level of performance in much less than perfect solar conditions, I am very optimistic about achieving our payback goal of 9 years.

I had been looking at solar power for several years. I had done quite a bit of research and knew basically what I needed. My frustration had been getting companies to respond and or just show up for appointments.
