A construction company is always looking for multi-faceted people who can think on their feet, are willing to make decisions based on experience and knowledge and can serve it all up with incredible people skills – that’s why we have Kevin Charap. As our General Manager, with a focus on design and installation management, Kevin is responsible for all our business operations, construction projects and customer satisfaction.
After earning his B. S. at WSU in construction management and a minor in business admin, Kevin developed his residential skills with a local development company as their Project Manager of residential community development and custom home construction. He also has experience in commercial and industrial estimating and project management.
With this type of resume it’s not difficult to understand that Kevin’s portfolio is growing. With over 300 projects under his belt at NW Wind & Solar he’s managed showcase projects like the Seattle’s Bullitt Center & Aquarium, Issaquah’s Fire Station #72 and zHome, Google’s Kirkland Campus and Net Zero projects for tribal facilities.
On top of all that Kevin accomplishes for us, he and his wife have their hands full with raising two beautiful girls. Toss in a love of the outdoors, fishing, good BBQ and occasional live concert – we think he’s got the balance of work, family and play taken care of.
Dallas has a list of creds about as large as the state of Texas! With 17 years of industrial and commercial projects under his belt (several LEED Silver certified), Dallas hasn’t shied away from anything. The more than 600 projects he’s completed are varied, vast and complex. They include armed forces reserve centers, refineries, schools, retail chains, hospital and healthcare facilities.
Dallas’s designing credits include services, power and medium voltage distribution, interior/exterior lighting, voice/data distribution, medical call and fire alarm systems, lightning protection and over-current coordination, arc-flash and forensic studies.
Oh, and by the way, he also comes in with design and installation experience in both PV arrays and small wind towers to the tune of 1MW of installed projects.

“In returning to the construction industry after so many years, I really wanted to work for a company, and a cause, that I believe in. NW Wind & Solar is that company, and solar power is that cause.”
What Consuelo enjoys most about her job is connecting with the potential customers she meets at the NW Wind & Solar workshops. “It’s exciting to know that the customers who fuel our business have the same environmental values as I do . . . it’s inspiring!”
In her spare time Consuelo enjoys writing books, cooking organic food, and spending time in nature.
Managing an electrical business that wired residential new builds and light commercial work for 18 years, Jim decided to try on a new hat at NW Wind & Solar in 2013 and we’re happy he did. Approaching this change with enthusiasm, Jim finds enjoyment in learning a different side of his trade. Jim is a natural born leader and has earned that respect from our team. He assumes our residential field lead position managing multiple crews while producing the highest quality installations and raving customer satisfaction. His reward is garnering copious positive feedback from happy customers.
Josh is a Master 01 Commercial Electrician with a successful career in field management of electrical projects. Josh has a reputation for having the most organized van, jobsite and the cleanest neatest solar installations on the planet. We scored josh transitioning from a smaller electrical company where he learned valuable project management skills, permitting and material procurement. He essentially managed his own projects start to finish.
Josh joined SME for a more regular work schedule and showed interest in solar while assisting on the Bullitt Center project. We were thrilled to move Josh into a solar foreman role where he’s lead our highest profile commercial projects like the Seattle Aquarium, Google Kirkland, Seattle’s Fire Station 20, Overlake Village in Redmond, Earth Friendly Products in Lacey, Our Lady Guadalupe School in Seattle and countless other small commercial projects.
Josh is married and has a love for performance cars, camping and watching his own meter role backwards from his very own solar installation.
Dickson came to NW Wind & Solar via our parent company SME Inc. of Seattle. Already an experienced electrical journeyman of 13 years, Dickson joined SME in 2008 and moved to our newly formed wind & solar division in 2009. Since that time Dickson continues to be part of our award winning team on projects like the CITC in Bellevue and zHome in Issaquah Highlands.
Home is busy for the Harding’s with five kids in school and sports, but that doesn’t mean they don’t make a point to head to the ocean whenever they get the chance for some seaside relaxation and family fun.
After a 20-year stint in corporate leadership and executive coaching, Paul took a bold move into renewable energy by accepting a work-trade position with Solar Energy International. Here he learned a hands-on training approach from the best instructors in the industry. Within the year, Paul began his own renewable energy consulting business. Teaming up with Northwest SEED – a non-profit dedicated to promoting renewable energy to Northwest communities – in 2011, he assisted in organizing the citizen committee for a new program in WA, Solarize Northeast Seattle.
During the Solarize project, Paul was introduced to our NW Wind & Solar team and made the decision to join us in 2012. Since then he has co-led other workshops for Solarize WA and NW Wind & Solar’s own NW Solar Now! workshops. In 2013, Paul was an invited speaker at the Snoqualmie Tribal Green Summit in Portland, OR.
“I believe my job as a technical consultant is to use my solar expertise in such a way, that people can make an informed decision regarding solar electric systems.” Paul’s goal is for NW Wind & Solar to become a 100% referral-based company. “In order to do that we need to excel at making satisfied customers who are happy to send their neighbors and friends to NW Wind & Solar to fulfill their solar goals.”
